He was emaciated & flea-ridden, but with some TLC he is back to full health and living his best life. Taffy is 2 or 3 years old, up to date on all shots, neutered, microchipped, and given a clean bill of health as recently as April 27. While the person who found him initially planned on keeping him, she has an underlying cat allergy and has experienced symptoms despite medication and allergy shots. She went to Petey and Furends seeking the perfect home for Taffy. Taffy is a very friendly, cuddly, fluffy, orange Maine Coon mix. He is polydactyl and needs extra care when trimming his sensitive front paws (likely a light sedative to help with the discomfort). He would do well with experienced cat owners who have time to interact with him (i.e. owners who generally spend at least a few solid hours at home each day, telework is a plus). Based on his interactive demeanor, he would likely do fine with kids and other cats (as long as his nails stay trimmed; he likes to play), but we are not sure about dogs. He's young and energetic, and importantly he has a very patient and sweet personality. He has never once gotten angry or mean towards people. He loves belly rubs and tolerates trusted friends holding him. He's also very vocal, and has quite an impressive vocabulary! Pictures are worth a thousand words, and his pictures show how funny, playful, and interactive he truly is (might we add he created that circle of toys himself).
