She was found outside after having a litter of kittens, and for a long time all she knew was how to survive and protect her babies. Because of that, she can be a little timid at first but once she realizes she’s safe, her sweet personality really starts to shine.With a little patience and kindness, Tortilla opens up and shows just how affectionate she can be. She purrs happily when she’s being pet, enjoys playing with toys, and is even okay with being held. Watching her learn to relax and trust people is truly special.Tortilla isn’t too fond of other cats and would likely do best as the only cat in the home where she can feel secure and not have to compete for space or attention.What Tortilla needs most is a calm, patient home that will give her the time she deserves to settle in and feel safe. We are located in an overpopulated area surrounded by high-kill shelters.Adoption fees include transport, vetting and a MS Health Certificate to travel.
