We are Amber Atkins and Annette, a bonded mother and daughter duo looking for our forever home together.I am Amber Atkins, a 6 month old playful explorer who is always ready for my next adventure. I am curious about everything and usually the first to check out a new room, a new toy, or a new person. I love to chase my feather wand, bat around crinkle balls, and invent my own games when no one is watching. I spend a lot of time perched by the window keeping an eye on birds and neighborhood activity. I have a lot of energy and would love a home where people are around to play with me throughout the day. Even though I am busy, I do enjoy the occasional lap nap once I have worn myself out.I am Annette, a young and gentle mama who is still learning that the world can be a safe and cozy place. I started out as a nervous outdoor cat, but I have been working hard to trust my humans. Now I like to weave around their legs for pets and quietly keep them company by lounging nearby. I enjoy playing too, especially with Amber, and I love curling up in soft spots like tunnels, cat trees, and even laundry baskets. I may be shy at first, but with patience and kindness I am starting to show my sweet and affectionate side.We currently live in a calm foster home where we have begun exploring beyond our cozy room. I take the lead and help my mom feel brave, and she follows along once she knows things are safe. I am open to making new cat friends and possibly meeting calm dogs someday. Annette would prefer a quieter introduction to any other pets and may do best with a gentle, respectful companion after she has settled in.Our ideal home is one that understands we are a team.
