Koops is waiting for you at Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center in Derwood, MD 20855. Koops is a big boy full of love! A favorite of the volunteers, likes just hanging out inside or outside. He is a big boy, at 96 pounds, but he doesn’ t quite seem to realize it. To put it bluntly, he is 96 pounds of love and good intentions, but falls a little short on the intellectual side of things. He has been a star in dog playgroups, greeting everyone he meets calmly. He is happy to hang around with the other dogs and do a little bit of running when the mood strikes. Koops is also the first choice when teaching new volunteers how to walk dogs, especially when training how to get the leash around his gigantic (and adorable) head! On walks, he is easy breezy!In summary: 1) Is Koops smart? Definitely, in his own way. 2) Does Koops have the stamina for long runs on the beach? Sure, if it’s a short beach. 3) Does he want to meet you today? 100% YES!
