Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: Meet Arctic Blue — a breathtaking one-year-old Pomsky with a snowy white coat and the most striking ice-blue eyes you’ve ever seen. At about 15 pounds, he’s the perfect medium-small size for someone wanting a “big dog look” in a little package. Arctic Blue can be fearful at first meeting new people. He needs a day or two to observe, process, and decide you’re safe — but once he does, he truly warms up and bonds beautifully. Patience is key with this boy, and he will reward you with loyalty and sweetness. He does have a bite history related to a traumatic grooming experience in his past. However, with calm handling and trust-building, he allowed me to groom him without issue. This tells us so much about his ability to overcome fear when he feels safe and respected. The good stuff (and there’s a lot of it!): Knows SIT and DOWN Walks beautifully on a leash Loves playing with other young dogs Respectful and appropriate with senior dogs Appears mostly house-trained Uses the doggie door like a pro Generally quiet, but will “use his voice” if he wants something to change He will bark initially if crated and wants out, but settles after a bit and will sleep quietly through the night. Arctic Blue would thrive in a home that understands he needs a gentle introduction to new situations. A confident canine companion could be a big plus for him.
