Sawyer is waiting for you at Barking Dog Farm Rescue in Newport, NH 03773. Sawyer is the whole package as a fun, spunky, confident, playful, and cuddly pup! He was flown up from Texas in order to find his forever home, and has the approximate date of birth of January 29, 2026. He is making great progress with crate training, house breaking, and even learning to walk well on a leash. Sawyer gets along great with other dogs, and exhibits a real willingness to learn commands. He is up to date with vaccinations, flea, tick, and heartworm preventions, and is already neutered and even microchipped! Sawyer is currently being fostered in upstate NY, but can easily be transported to surrounding states to meet his lucky family. They can be stubborn, prone to barking, overly protective and cannot be off leash. You WILL NOT train a pyr to boundaries. Please be sure all family members are in agreement to adopting and your family is ready to bring dog home now. Applicants must be at least 21 years old. We do not have blanket criteria regarding adoptions. Each applicant is considered based on many things including but not limited to breed experience, yard ( visible fence preferred) and other animals in home. We try to avoid dogs with same sex households as pyrs typically do not do well with the same sex. A volunteer will be in touch to discuss your application and the dog to determine if it is a good match. Your vet and two references will be called. A virtual home visit done. Once approved a meet and greet at the farm will take place. If all are in agreement an adoption contract will be signed and adoption fee paid. Adoption fees for dogs are $500. for adults over 12 months, $600 for puppie
