Spot
About Spot (Bull terrier) in Statesville
Spot is waiting for you at Iredell County Animal Services and Control Department in Statesville, NC 28677. Spot comes to us as an owner surrender due to the other dogs in his previous home consistently ganging up on him. This often resulted in attacks and injuries to sweet Spot. Out of concern for his safety, and with no safe way to keep the dogs separated, he is now here looking for the home he truly deserves.Understandably, this gentle boy is shy, tail-tucking, and unsure when meeting new people and especially other dogs. His physical scars will heal, and with patience, slow introductions, love, and grace, we know the emotional scars will heal as well.He recently met another dog here and was nervous as she approached, seeking reassurance from his handler with his tail tucked. He pressed himself against his human, trembling, but bravely allowed the greeter dog to sniff him. This sweet and submissive boy is ready for the compassionate home he deserves so he no longer has to be shut down and can finally experience what it means to be a beloved family member. If you can give Spot the time, patience, grace, and love he needs, please come meet him in person at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville. We are open:MondayâFriday 12â5pmSaturday 11amâ2pmHis adoption fee is 80. All adoptable dogs and puppies are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on vaccines and preventatives. Please establish vet care with your newly adopted family member to help keep them healthy. We always recommend meet-and-greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit for everyone.
