Rescued from a shelter alongside his sister Halo, Skyler is believed to have spent much of his early life in a backyard without much exposure to the outside world. Because of that, he arrived timid and unsure— but every day, he’s showing just how much he’s ready to grow, learn, and trust. A Day in Skyler’s World Skyler starts his day around 6:30am with a short walk around the block to go potty. Mornings are still a little overwhelming, so these walks are brief and gentle, giving him time to adjust to the sounds and sights of the neighborhood. Afterward, he relaxes at home before joining in on a sweet daily routine— walking to the bus stop to see the kids off. Throughout the day, Skyler stays close to his people, happily resting indoors or venturing out to the side porch, where he’s recently discovered that fresh air, birds, and quiet moments can actually be enjoyable. His walks happen in small bursts throughout the day, helping him slowly build confidence. By evening, he’s ready to wind down, and around 9:30pm, he’ll quietly head into his crate in the bedroom on his own, settling in for the night. Personality: A Gentle Soul with a Playful Side Skyler may have started off shy, but once he feels safe, his true puppy personality shines through. He’s playful, curious, and wonderfully silly— often tripping over his own feet in true Boxer fashion. He enjoys toys, games, and interacting with his people, especially once he knows them.
