About Tulip (Terrier) in Washington

Tulip is waiting for you at Lucky Dog Animal Rescue in Washington, DC 20002. TULIP NEEDS A FOREVER HOME!!!! Name: Tulip Best Guess for Breed: Terrier mix Best Guess for Age: 5.5 years as of March 2026 SEX: Female Approximate Weight: 16 lbs Gets Along With: Other dogs, cats and kids! Tulip lived happily in a foster home with another dog, two cats, and four kids. Currently Living at: DC area foster home Special adoption considerations: Dogs from Puerto Rico have a major transition to go through when they arrive and will need humans who are very committed to socialization. We think Tulip would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to learn the ropes. Tulip is Looking For: Her forever home! Tulip is a sato - a dog from Puerto Rico. She is eager to put down roots with her own humans in the DC area. Sniffy walks, romps, all the adventures in her new setting - yes, please! But you know what she wants most of all? To know she's safe and loved, where she belongs. In exchange she promises adoring gazes and loyal companionship for all her days. What do you say? Can you see her down there by your side? What My Foster Says About Me: Tulip is a sweet, gentle girl who loves snuggling on the couch with her foster dog siblings, sunbathing in the grass, and is quickly learning that the world is a safe place. She sleeps quietly through the night in her crate, hasn’t had any accidents in the house, and loves other dogs. She’s a calm, polite girl who is looking for her forever home that will give her the patience to blossom like the true flower she is.Check her out on Instagram: [Lien externe masqué] Heartworm information: Tulip is a truly Lucky Dog. She tested positive for heartworms, but landed in a place where heartworm treatment is provided! Heartworm is not contagious to people or other pets,
