Hi, I’m Ninja… and I’m Looking for My Forever Home ❤️ Hi there… my name is Ninja, and even though it sounds like I’m supposed to be fearless and tough, I’m still working on finding my courage again. I’m probably a Rottweiler mix — that’s what everyone thinks when they see me — but no one knows for sure. What I do know is that I’m a good boy with a big heart who really, really wants a family of my own. I was just a tiny puppy when I was adopted from Central Arizona Animal Rescue (CAAR). I grew up in a home with another dog and two small children — that was the only world I knew for over two years. I learned how to be gentle with kids, play with another dog, and follow my humans around the house. I loved having my own people. Then, one day, everything I knew disappeared. My family returned me to CAAR. I didn’t understand why. Walking back into the shelter after knowing nothing but a home was terrifying. The sounds, the strange smells, the new faces… everything felt too big and too loud. For the first week, I was so scared I could barely stop shaking. But the people at CAAR didn’t give up on me. They spoke softly, moved slowly, and gave me space until I was ready. And then something amazing happened — they introduced me to Lexi, my new dog friend. She’s confident and outgoing, and she seems to think the world is a fun place. So I started watching her… and little by little, I began to think maybe she’s right. Lexi has helped me learn that the shelter isn’t so scary. We play together, we relax together, and she shows me how to be brave when things feel overwhelming. I really like having her around — she makes me feel safe. And now… I’m ready to try again. I’m ready to hope.
