Roscoe’s story is heartbreaking. This 3-year-old blue Doberman was dumped and abandoned at a pet store on a freezing winter day, left waiting for someone who never came back. When he arrived in rescue, he was severely underweight and showed signs of long-term neglect and confinement. It’s clear Roscoe has endured far too much — but this gentle boy still believes in people. Roscoe is sweet, quiet, and incredibly affectionate. He loves being near his humans and soaks up every bit of attention and love he can get. Despite his soft heart, Roscoe’s past has left him uncertain in new situations. He’s still learning manners, leash skills, and how to navigate the world around him. When overstimulated, he can become reactive to other dogs, so he’ll need continued structure, training, and patience from someone who understands the breed, he is getting better everyday. Roscoe would benefit from an experienced Doberman owner or foster — someone confident, calm, and committed to helping him rebuild trust and learn how to just be a dog again.
