Mardi Gras
About Mardi Gras (Bouledogue français) in Pittsboro
Mardi Gras is waiting for you at Chatham Animal Rescue & Education in Pittsboro, NC 27312. Mardi Gras’ first years were restrictive and hard. She’s now in foster care and, as her name suggests, she’s ready to let the good times roll. Good times for Mardi mean a loving family who dote on her and a home where she is the only dog and she is not confined to a kennel for any length of time. Mardi Gras is a people pup! She LOVES people and she is happiest when she can follow her human friend(s) everywhere they go. Bliss to her is sitting right beside her humans on the couch, and sharing their pillow at night, sometimes snoring lightly like a typical Frenchie. She loves dog toys and has a special furry bear that will go with her when she is adopted. Mardi is house trained when taken outside regularly. She loves wandering around and exploring – something she was unable to do in her previous life – so a secure fenced-in yard (no invisible fences) is one of her “good times” hopes. Mardi has been spayed and has had soft-pallet surgery to help her breath more easily. CARE will consider experienced dog owners only, with preference given to families familiar with brachycephalic breeds, like Mardi. Mardi’s adoption fee is $500.
