Charlie is an approximately 40 year old assumed male Goffin's Cockatoo. Charlie LOVES to be the center of attention and will demand it to be so. Charlie seems to prefer women over men, but since being here, we've seen him allow plenty of love from men. Charlie has not had much experience around young children. Charlie would likely not do well in a home with dogs as he has attacked dogs in the past. Charlie is a cuddle bird and will take all the scritches you can offer. Charlie will make a great companion for someone who is willing to devote a LOT of time to him and work with him to overcome his extreme need to be the center of attention. To meet Charlie, a complete questionnaire is required. All cockatoos require a house without children under 12 present. Multiple visits are required - please expect to make at least 5 trips to work with your bird prior to bringing them home. All cockatoo adopters must have large bird ownership experience. (Cockatoo, macaw, grey, eclectus, amazon, etc.).
