She came to rescue after raising a litter of kittens as a beloved community cat. Her kittens have all found homes, but she has struggled to adjust to life indoors. While she appreciates the safety and regular meals, she clearly misses the freedom and routine of outdoor life. She isn’t feral, but she isn’t looking to be a traditional house cat either. Once she’s comfortable, she’ll happily accept gentle pets during mealtime and enjoys the company of people she trusts. Like many community cats, she builds relationships slowly and prefers interactions on her own terms. She would thrive in a safe indoor/outdoor home where she can come and go as she pleases, or on a farm, acreage, or barn where she’ll receive daily food, fresh water, shelter, and compassionate care. With a proper acclimation period, she’ll reward you by keeping rodents in check while adding a quiet, independent presence to your property.
