Sweet, gentle Risotto is a gorgeous, shy girl looking for the perfect home with a patient, experienced cat owner to help bring her out of her shell. This good-natured, goofy girl continues to make progress every day with her foster, becoming more and more the carefree, roly-poly cat we know she can be! Risotto absolutely loves to play. Wand toys are her favorite and she loves to roll around on the floor, dart after them to show her goofy side (and her wonderfully fluffy belly) while playing with them. She also appreciates a treat, and will happily (if slowly) approach for Churu or Temptations any day. Cat beds are her favorite place to relax, and she loves to gaze out the window and chatter at the occasional pigeon. It's easy to see Risotto is quite the lovebug! While a bit skittish, she is the queen of meaningful eye contact and slow blinks. She will often come out and greet new people who come over, carefully inspecting their shoes and belongings. While she can be a bit nervous about being pet, an extendible backscratcher makes her purr like a motorboat as she leans into it for chin scratches and uses her paws to direct it to where she'd like to be pet next. She now approaches her foster mom multiple times a day to ask for backscratcher time, clearly excited when her wishes are granted. She has also started to enjoy hand-pets during this time, which is a true treat as her fur is incredibly soft! Being loved by Risotto is a true honor, and she makes it known in her own shy way when she adores you. This girl's shy demeanor, chonky physique, incredible fur patterns, round face and slightly walleyed expressions will work their way into your heart incredibly quick. She enjoys the company of calm, older cats with a proper introduction, or she can be adopted solo to a home where she'll get lots of love. She would do well with adults and older children and would likely be okay with low-energy dogs
