You might nickname him Dolo because he’s on the downlow about what a lovebug he is. He is a little shy at first - not uncommon in an unfamiliar place like a shelter - and might seem like he’d prefer to be alone. He just needs a sweet and slow introduction. Drop a few treats and polite head rubs and BAM - snuggle bug mode activated. Then he approaches his kennel door and is comfortable being picked up for some snuggles. He is pretty chill right now but at five years young he definitely has energy for play that should’ve ignite once he is settled.
