About Flounder (Domestic Short Hair) in Hampstead, NC 28443

Flounder is waiting for you at Feline Urgent Rescue and Rehab in Hampstead, NC 28443. Please note there is no need to complete an adoption questionnaire on this page. We only need our Adoption Application Questionnaire completed at: [Lien externe masqué] (please copy/paste link) April 2026 - Flounder is doing great! I took him to the vet this past week (along with several other cat visits to Sound Cat!) and repeated his PCR test (swab eyes & back of throat). He was a trooper & no sedation needed. I just held him & he knew I was with him. He has really come a long long way from being VERY feral to just a “mushster”! Will take a few days to get the results, but hoping PCR will show that he is not contagious any more for the calici virus (Kitty pneumonia) which is contagious. It is much less contagious to cats that are vaccinated & all of ours have been, but airing on the side of caution. Just cant wait to get him out of that bathroom he has been locked up in for EIGHT weeks! Say a prayer for FLOUNDER! Enjoy his video! March 2026 - Flounder doing great! Eating, playing, purring, talking and overall doing much better, but still a bit congested. Very affectionate! Feb. 2026 - After successful dental surgery, Flounder is not doing well in recovery this week. Flounder is the little black feral I took to Sound Cat last Monday & had all his teeth pulled (to the tune of $1,700!!!), but unfortunately, he has not done well so far. I dropped him off at Sound Cat, our Vet, this am. He is not eating, he is very lethargic & quite congested. Please say a prayer for this little feral cat. He doesn’t deserve any of this! For the fast couple of weeks, I noticed him, one of the black feral kitties in the FURR Sanctuary, seemed thin, lethargic and not well. I noticed that Flounder started to seem congested also, so I had to get him to the vet. After several days, I finally got Flounder in my net and got him to Sound Cat. It is so difficult to care for a feral colony
