She needs someone experienced with cats who understands that trust takes time and won't take it personally when she hides (she is an *expert* hider — you will lose track of her in a studio apartment). Here's the thing about Olive: she talks tough. Go in for pets and you'll get the scariest, most dramatic growl you've ever heard from a 5-pound cat. Keep your hand steady and don't take the bait — a few seconds later she'll melt into purrs and full-on biscuit-making. She's all bark, so to speak.
