I’m Precious, a sweet, cuddly, and playful “harlequin” fella, which means that I’m mostly white with several large black patches on my head, body, and tail. I’ve also got a distinctive dark gray triangular blaze on my otherwise white nose. When I’m cuddled in my foster pawrents’ laps, I enjoy chit-chatting with them about how my day is going. I sleep with them at night, and I’m their little shadow during the day because I like to follow them around to keep up with their activities. I even rub my pheromones on their legs in case I think they’ve forgotten me. I enjoy playing interactively with my hoomans, especially when they wave the wand toy over my head. I also love to tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle with my four littermates. When some houses in Spring Branch were torn down, many people left their pets behind when they moved away. Their cats ended up living at the used-car lot and the antique mall as friendly strays. Momma decided that inside a wall at the antique mall was a safe place to house my litter of five. It was an ideal den for us until the manager spotted her coming and going through a broken window. When our future foster meowmy, who has booths at the antique mall, heard that he wanted us out of our hidey-hole, she volunteered to remove us in the spirit of protecting us from harm. Despite Momma’s getting spooked and moving us, Foster Meowmy managed to find and capture all five of us, a few at a time, over a span of days. Tux, Spackle, Houdini, Taz, and I are so grateful that she took us to her home, which has much more plush accommodations than a tiny, dirty hidey-hole inside a wall!
