Jade is waiting for you at Second Chance Pets in United States. Sweet Jade is an affectionate adult (5-6 years old) that loves attention, she’s happy to sleep/sit on a human chest and purr the day away after her rough prior life. This brave little survivor has proven to be a tough girl - she was impounded in terrible condition, very underweight and with a severely injured back leg. When the shelter put out an urgent plea she was immediately rescued by SCP and we got her to a vet right away for surgery to amputate her badly injured leg. She is now healthy, eating well and getting around great as a tripod princess :) She loves people and while very sweet she also has a frisky side and can get overstimulated when playing. She doesn’t do well with other cats so needs to be a solo kitty in any future home (a calm cat-friendly dog may be OK as a companion after proper introductions). Despite all that she’s been through Jade is a gem and deserves to find a loving family and her forever castle. The cat adoption fee is $120 (or $190 for two cats). Second Chance Pets is a foster-based organization so all animals live in foster homes throughout the area. All cats are spayed/neutered, tested for FIV and feline leukemia, fully vaccinated, dewormed, defleaed and microchipped. Adoptions are held on Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Clear Lake Petco (2410 Bay Area Blvd, Houston 77058).
