He’s named after the helicopter “Spirit in the Sky,” a nod to the place where his journey began and the resilience that carried him through. From that day on, Spirit proved just how special he is. He is deeply human-imprinted, affectionate, and incredibly people-oriented. He loves being close to his person, often seeking out attention, cuddles, and even gently holding hands like it’s his favorite way to connect. Spirit is playful and curious, always getting into everything with a joyful, mischievous energy that makes life with him endlessly entertaining. He also enjoys playing fetch and will happily engage when it’s time to play—but he’s just as content to settle in for a long cuddle session. Spirit does well with dogs and is confident in a mixed household. He would be perfectly fine as a solo companion, but he could also be adopted with Kaiowa, a kitten from the same colony who shares part of his story.
