She was rescued from a cat colony about two years ago and has since been learning how wonderful indoor life can be. While she can be a little skittish at first, in a calm and quiet home she truly blossoms and shows her affectionate side.Calico loves attention and enjoys being brushed something that’s especially helpful because she sheds quite a bit. She isn’t much of a lap cat, but she loves being close to her people and will happily curl up beside you to relax. She’s also not a picky eater, making mealtime nice and easy.Playtime is one of her favorite parts of the day! Calico has a blast chasing toy mice, laser pointers, and anything sprinkled with catnip. She’s also a big fan of high places, so a tall cat tree is a must for her. It gives her a place to scratch, climb, and lounge on top while keeping her from turning the furniture into her scratching post.Calico enjoys watching the world outside and would thrive in a home with a window view or access to a safe catio where she can relax and observe birds and nature. Because of her submissive personality, she tends to get along well with other calm animals. She has lived with other cats and even large dogs before, so a gentle companion could be a great match for her.Overall, Calico would do best in a quieter household with patient adopters who will give her time to feel safe and loved.
