Que the music (Madagascar)...."I like them big...I like them chunky" We lovingly call her "Big Mama" as Jersey came to us with her two adorable kittens! She is a great Mama and has some wonderfully healthy kittens and Mama is ready to enjoy life as a very spoiled and loved house cat. Although her recent spay wellness checkup included notes regarding her weight (noted as overweight) so her spoiling should not include too many treats for a bit but maybe just attention and love. Personally, we think she is just meant to be a bigger girl or a "fleshy" girl (as my Grandma used to say) but we do appreciate our vet wanting Jersey to be as healthy as she can be so her new home may want to monitor her food intake at first instead of having a continuous feeder. Other than that, Jersey is just a beautiful healthy cat looking for love in the form of a forever family! She is the sweetest, loves attention and affection. She is a vocal kitty, not loud, just soft little chirps. Her kittens make the same sweet little noises like they are speaking to each other because they seem to respond when they hear her. Jersey is a gorgeous Torbie (Tabby with some Tortie markings. She does not have a ton of the orange spots but does have some to add to her character. Her fur is soft but short and she is happy for you to pet her head, back, belly as it makes no difference to her as long as you are loving her she is perfectly happy. We will continue to make updates as we get to know her better but Jersey won our hearts from the moment she came to our shelter and we have a feeling she will do that for anyone she meets.
