About Noctis (Domestic short hair) in Oakland

Noctis is waiting for you at Cat Town in Oakland, CA 94619. Best Match: Seeking adopters with moderate cat experience May be okay in a savvy home with teenagers May be okay with other cats; would need slow intro to well-matched cat Needs to be indoor-only Imagine gazing into the void: a silky, pitch black void with two glowing yellow orbs in the middle. You slowly become aware that the void is also gazing into you, and then the void chirps and makes a little grunt. Meet Noctis. Noctis wants to play. Noctis is an affectionate 4 year old. Curious and intelligent, Noctis loves plotting out the best stalking strategy while playing with his feather toy. Much of his time is spent napping or gazing out the window from his cat tree, watching the goings-on of the outside world, but he also enjoys hanging out with (or on) his people, just enjoying each other's company. Noctis does get a little overstimulated with handling sometimes, so an adopter that knows cat body language and when to stop petting is ideal. Wand toys are his love language, at the moment! Noctis currently needs a high-fiber diet to support his health and is FIV positive, which is easily manageable and doesn't get in the way of his enjoyment of life. Noctis is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and tested negative for FeLV. If you are interested in setting up a meeting or have more questions, please complete our Adoption Inquiry form at [Lien externe masqué] ! A note about Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV): Cats with FIV can live long, healthy lives and make wonderful companions. The virus can't be given to humans, and doesn’t spread easily between cats, so they can safely live with FIV-negative cats. We often house them together at Cat Town! With simple care, FIV-positive cats thrive. Keeping them indoors, feeding a balanced diet, and scheduling regular vet checkups (about every six months) helps them stay happy and healthy for years to come.
