Some cats even live into their thirties, although this is far less common. So don't let that discourage you from adopting an adult cat! Rescue mama has had 3 live into their 20's. One was 8 weeks old. ELOISE and her 2 siblings (DORATHIA - MERCURIO) were saved from a backyard in Gardena, California. We were notified by one of our TNR independent rescuers' that there was a mama with 4 kittens living there. They were being hunted by neighborhood dogs and coyotes. So we acted fast! She trapped mama and got her into a safe home with a neighbor who cared for her. We got the 3 kittens and the other little guy went to another rescue as he was trapped later. Unfortunately in rescue no matter how fast we act sometimes, we can't save them. Our boy MERCURIO passed away unexpectedly, a week after he was rescued. And because of it, we noticed that the girls are very connected. We can't say bonded because we have never separated them.
