He came to the shelter when his people couldn't afford the veterinary care he urgently needed. He'd eaten something that wasn't food and had a blockage that needed to be removed. Our vet team operated and removed a rubber stopper. We don't know if he has a habit of eating nonfood items, but his new family should be monitor his access to edible sized nonfood items when they bring him home.
