Hermione is waiting for you at The Dancing Cat in San Jose, CA 95112. Hermione is the definition of a cuddle bug. Once she chooses you as her person, she’ll want to be by your side every chance she gets. You’ll often wake up to the sweetest surprise- Hermione snuggled up against you, happily making little biscuits while her loud, rumbling purr fills the room. If you’re working at your desk or relaxing on the couch, don’t be surprised if she hops right into your lap, ready to settle in for a long cuddle session. She adores curling up beside you for hours, gently rubbing her face into your hands and melting into every pet. Her love is deep and devoted, and once she trusts you, she gives you her whole heart. She’ll come at the sound of your voice, is even learning to walk on a leash, and simply wants to be wherever you are. Hermione is also incredibly food-motivated and will do just about anything for Churu or canned food. She’s wonderfully patient for nail trims, making her not only an affectionate companion but an easy one to care for. Hermione’s journey is one of incredible luck and second chances. She and her siblings, Potter and Harry, were originally trapped as part of a TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return) program, where community cats are humanely trapped, spayed or neutered, and then returned to the area where they were found. At only 8 weeks old, Hermione, Potter, and Harry were scheduled to be returned to life on the streets immediately after their surgeries. But fate had other plans. During their short stay at the clinic, the three kittens captured the heart of a volunteer who knew they deserved more than a life struggling to survive outdoors. Just before they were set to be released, The Dancing Cat was able to step in and save them. Instead of being returned to the streets, Hermione and her siblings were given the opportunity to experience safety, love, and the chance to find forever homes.
