Smidge is waiting for you at 13thstcats.org in San Jose, CA 95155. Smidge may be the smallest of her siblings, but she is the bravest of them all! Her tortoiseshell attitude is already showing, and she makes the rules for her siblings and her people! She is both fierce and friendly, and will growl over her toys to protect them from her brothers. Smidge loves fuzzy mice and wand toys best, but she will also turn anything and everything she can find into a toy. She is always exploring every corner of her foster home, and is often found on the highest bar of the closet or trying to scale the higher shelves of the bookcase. She’ll also climb under all the furniture to rescue toys that have rolled under, and we often hear her sneezing as she comes out covered in dust! Smidge loves to be around people, and will dash out to greet anyone arriving home. She sometimes will let us pick her up, but she really prefers to be near us and get her pets rather than being held. She is very wiggly, and will pace back and forth as we pet her, purring up a storm! She will also prompt us to keep petting her if she thinks we’ve stopped too soon, and will jump in if we’re petting her brothers to demand her share of the attention. Smidge really has no fear of anyone, and adores getting people to play with her and pet her on her terms. She needs to be in a house where she will get all the attention she wants, and where she will have lots of interesting places to climb and explore. (But keep your cupboards closed unless you want to find a small tortoiseshell cat inside!)
