Lightning* is waiting for you at Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter in Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Meet Lightning and Thunder! These two kittens came to the Shelter as underage stray kittens, so we don’t know much about her life before the Shelter. They spent some time in a foster home getting big and strong to prepare them for adoption. Both kitties are still a little timid so a cat-savvy, patient adopter would be the best fit for them. To keep them (and our local wildlife) safe, an indoor only home is recommended for these guys. They are not required to be adopted together, but could be. A home with other animals may be a fit with a slow, thoughtful introduction. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
