Michelada* is waiting for you at Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter in Santa Cruz, CA 95062. A little sweet, sour and spicy – this Michelada is ready to join your home. Michelada was found as a stray in a storm drain by a good Samaritan. He was, understandably, freaked out when he arrived at the Shelter and has taken time to learn that people are good. Michelada is looking for a cat-savvy adopter to help him continue growing in confidence. A home with a confident cat that can show him the ropes may be a great fit in the next home. Any introductions should be done in a slow, thoughtful manner. To keep Michelada safe (and out of storm drains), he should be safely indoors moving forward. Michelada is available for pre-adoption. Come meet him, fall in love and take him home after his neuter surgery.Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
