Negrita is waiting for you at Santa Cruz County Animal Shelter in Santa Cruz, CA 95062. Meet Negrita, the female black cat. Negrita arrived to the Shelter with three other cats (Blue, Milo and Mila) after their previous guardian was unable to continue caring for them. Negrita has lived in a home with teenagers, men and women. Negrita’s favorite activity is playing with the other kitties. She also enjoys playing with balls and toys that make noise. Negrita could go to a home with other cats (either the ones she lived with or a new kitty) after a slow, thoughtful introduction. Negrita has no history living with dogs. Negrita's previous guardian describes her as friendly, affectionate, independent, likes to be held and plays roughly. Negrita is available for pre-adoption. Come meet her, fall in love and take her home after her spay surgery. Please note: Our Santa Cruz location’s Shelter hours are 11-6pm, 7 days a week! Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.
