Bari And Gigi is waiting for you at Black Cat Rescue in Somerville, MA 02145. Bari and Gigi are a strongly bonded pair of female cats, spayed and up to date on vaccines. Bari has a larger white locket and is estimated to be around 8 months old. Gigi has a smaller white locket and is estimated to be 1 year old. They must go home together. She can be a bit skittish at times, but typically is eager for interaction, loves pets and playing. She is very protective of Gigi, sitting next to the food bowl or litterbox while Gigi is using it, and the two can often be found chattering to each other as they go together to eat or rest. Gigi is more nervous but every week gets more comfortable in showing her sweet personality – she enjoys pets on her terms and if approached calmly will happily headbutt for pets. They both make significant social gains with each passing week, revealing more and more of what will likely be very affectionate personalities once they are more comfortable with their new home. Does the cat enjoy being pet? Both cats very much enjoy being pet. They prefer to be approached calmly and from a sitting position. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? head/chin scratches are favored. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? No Does the cat come on your lap? Bari will very briefly venture onto my lap or stay there for a minute when placed. Gigi is not yet comfortable enough. Does the cat like to be held? Bari will accept being held for short periods of time, but prefers to run around and play. I have not tried to hold Gigi. Does the cat sleep in your bed? Bari has ventured up on the bed occasionally and is getting more comfortable approaching me on it. Gigi will lay on the bed, but not when I am there. Does the cat seek your attention? Bari more so
