Here's what his foster volunteer says about him: How would you describe the cat's general personality? Lagoon is a sweet boy who takes time to come out of his shell, but is a great companion once he trusts you. It took us nearly a month to gain his trust, but now he enjoys spending time with us and absolutely loves being petted. He is very food driven, and feeding him is the fastest way to strengthen your bond with him. He gets along great with other cats as well as calm, cat-friendly dogs. Does the cat enjoy being pet? Yes, Lagoon absolutely loves being pet! Keep in mind it will take time before he is comfortable being approached, but after a few weeks he'll start coming over looking for attention. He leans into his pets and purrs the whole time. If yes, on what parts of its body does the cat like to be pet? He loves being petted everywhere, but his favorite spots are behind his ears, under his chin, and the base of his tail. Are there any parts of its body that the cat does NOT like being touched? None that we've noticed! Does the cat come on your lap? No, he hasn't tried to come onto our laps yet. Does the cat like to be held? He doesn't exactly like being held, but he does tolerate it. Usually we can pick Lagoon up for about 5 seconds before he starts to squirm. Does the cat sleep in your bed? No, but it's only been a few days since we started letting him out of his foster room. Does the cat seek your attention? Yes, Lagoon loves to get attention! He'll usually meow and walk over to us for pets when he's feeling lonely. He'll also often come to us if we call his name and snap our fingers, although this is a recent development that took weeks to build up to. Does the cat like to play?
