About Vivian (Tabby) in Walnut Creek

Vivian is waiting for you at Community Concern for Cats in Walnut Creek, CA 94596. Meet Vivian — a bold, independent queen with a survivor’s spirit Vivian (DOB ~3/2023) isn’t just a cat — she’s a story of resilience, loyalty, and quiet affection wrapped in a sleek, strong-willed package. A former feral colony girl from rural North Carolina, Vivian has traded outdoor survival for a life that blends independence with connection on her own terms. She’s spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her tipped ear is a badge of honor from her Trap-Neuter-Return days — proof of where she came from and how far she’s come. Vivian is what you might call a “top girl.” She’s confident, a little bossy, and knows exactly what she wants. She does well with dogs (she’s even been known to keep a pitbull in line!) and formed a special bond with a Great Dane during a cross-country journey to California. She’s not a fan of timid cats and would do best as your one-and-only feline, or with a very laid-back cat who won’t challenge her leadership. She’s not a lap cat, but she shows affection in her own unique ways — rolling around for pets, purring loudly, grooming your hands, and occasionally curling up beside your legs. She’ll even perch on your shoulder for short “queenly” visits. She’s vocal, expressive, and comes when called. Vivian is happiest with access to the outdoors in a safe environment and prefers not to be confined to apartment living. She’s an excellent mouser (bringing home her “work” proudly), perfectly litter box trained, and a surprisingly polite traveler — even across a 5-day road trip and hotel stays. She can be a little jumpy with new things and may get nippy if she’s bored or hungry, so she’ll thrive with an experienced cat person who understands her independent nature and can read her cues. After overcoming early skin issues (likely stress or food-related), she’s now thriving on a limited-ingredient diet and feeling her best. Vivian’s ideal home: Adult home or cat
