Layla definitely gives the Memaw vibes at twelve years old, this little lady likes a tight sleep schedule so you both wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed in the morning. She gives bed time reminders between 8:30-10pm and will gently purr you to sleep in your ear before taking her spot at your feet. Once she makes sure you’re up and at ‘em in the morning she may go back for a brief snooze. Better than any alarm clock! Layla came to Hope front declawed and her adoption fee is sponsored. Being a Memaw she does have arthritis and needs a little stool or ramp to get up and down furniture. She is effectively managed on monthly a Solensia injection for her arthritis and enjoys a oral regimen of a nightly Cosequin supplement sprinkled into a packet of wet food and another oral pain med to help keep her feeling spry. We have continued her preference of Pine or Okocat litter (again... her age warrants preferences). She may take some time to warm up to you but given time, patience and love, Layla will be happy living out her golden years being your Memaw Kitty. She is FIV/FeLV negative and the rest of her bloodwork, stool, and urine diagnostics including xray showed no urinary special needs.
