Like many puppies, he's still figuring out how this whole "being a family dog" thing works. Everything is new to him, and while he can be a little shy and nervous at first, each day he becomes a little more confident as he learns that people can be kind and home is a safe place. Percy loves other dogs and would likely thrive in a home with a playful canine companion. He's respectful of dogs that aren't interested in playing, does a great job picking up on social cues, and has even done well with his foster's cat. He enjoys toys, chew bones, and exploring the park on walks, though he's still working through some leash reactivity around unfamiliar dogs, people, and wheeled objects. With patience and positive reinforcement, his confidence continues to grow. As a young puppy, Percy is still starting from scratch with many of the basics. He's not yet house trained, is learning that the crate is a safe place, and may whine for a bit when left alone before settling down. He'll need a family that's ready to invest time in puppy training and understands that progress comes with consistency, encouragement, and patience.
