Maura is waiting for you at Mower County Humane Society in AUSTIN, MN 55912. Maura arrived at the shelter from the city pound on 6/5/2026, when her stray hold was finished and no one had claimed her. She is a pit bull type mix with a pretty brindle coat, but we're not sure what else could be in her breed mix. She is fully grown and on the smaller side at only around a year old. She has been vet checked, spayed, and microchipped, and her fee is $150. Maura is a very shy girl who needs someone willing and able to nurture her and help her blossom. When she's comfortable with someone, she is very playful and loving. She will need some basic training as she still has quite a bit of puppy behavior in her. We do think she'd be okay with other dogs and kids. She's young enough, too, to learn to behave around cats. She is truly one of the sweetest dogs ever and would thrive as someone's companion! NOTE: Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventatives, and spayed or neutered.
