Harrison is one of the most easygoing, lovable Pyrs you'll ever meet! Extremely laid back even by Pyr standards, Harrison is a true gentleman who is fully housebroken and leash trained. He knows "sit" and understands "no.” Harrison has charmed everyone he's encountered — visitors, veterinary staff, and groomers alike. He is patient, friendly, and gentle with all people and animals he meets. He is especially wonderful with children and absolutely adores his foster mom's seven-year-old granddaughter. Kids will find a devoted, soft-hearted companion in this big white sweetheart! He gets along well with dogs — including his foster home's two resident Pyrs — and he handled a bit of initial grumpiness from the resident male with total grace and patience, never reacting negatively. He also coexists peacefully with the family cat, mostly giving her a polite, unbothered glance. He would do equally well as an only dog or in a multi-pet household. When it comes to fun, Harrison loves chew toys, biscuits, and a good brushing session — he really leans into that fluffy Pyr lifestyle! He's good in the car once he's convinced to get in, and he enjoys spending time both indoors and outdoors. He's not a digger or an escape artist, and his barking is below average for the breed — just the occasional polite alert bark to let you know something's up. A 4-foot fence will keep this laid-back boy happily at home. Harrison can be fearful of thunder and is a little wary of men, so a calm, patient environment will help him continue to thrive.
