Temperament: very shy and unsure at first but he's coming out of his shell more and more every day. Energy level: low-medium Groom needs: high maintenance; requires regular professional grooming, along with intermittent brushing to avoid matting Biography: Willard came to us with several other breeder dogs via a rescue friend. While he can be VERY shy and uncertain in new or unfamiliar situations, he is slowly coming out of his shell with us. He does stiffen up when picked up as if someone picking him up is foreign to him. He'll get used to it, though. He does great in a kennel if needed, but the leash is definitely a mystery to him. He did great with the groomer. He does liven up when other dogs are around... and he'll get that way with people soon too.
