Temperament: very shy, scared, timid (but is slowly coming around) – needs calm, quiet home Energy level: low Groom needs: low maintenance Biography: Thalia came in with Kalista. We were contacted by a rescue friend about four little Chihuahuas. The elderly owner is in rehab and didn't feel he'd be able to care for them any longer. The dogs had been in the home for three weeks with a neighbor feeding them. We took in two and the other two went to a different rescue. Thalia and Kalista were terrified, hunkered tightly into a corner. Both panicked, wiggling and thrashing around, when picked up. They are making baby steps and we are seeing a lot of improvement since they came to us as you can see from the video. They do great in a kennel if needed but you can forget the leash. They want a quiet and calm home that will allow them to get used to their new normal.
