Hooper is a 13-year-old smooth red miniature dachshund weighing 11 lbs, and he is exactly the kind of dog who makes a house feel like home. Hooper came to Little Paws following a divorce and is ready for the next chapter. He's funny and quirky in that distinctly dachshund way, utterly easygoing at his core, and more than ready to find a quiet, loving place to settle in. He has an emotion support friend in his best buddy Hannah, so it's best they be adopted together. Hannah is 9 years old. Environment Hooper is a low-key, contented soul. He loves his walks and prefers having a fenced yard to explore at his own pace, but does not need one. He is most content with his buddy Hannah around. They enjoy sharing a bed to cuddle, and then go into their respective crates for bed time. He is chatty, especially when greeting people, so a home without shared walls is likely the best fit. He travels quietly in the car with no radius restrictions. Pets & People Hooper is great with everyone: friendly with strangers once the initial greeting announcement has been made, relaxed and easy with all other dogs his size.
