The whole concept of sofa naps, lap cuddles, and exploring the great outdoors is wonderfully new to her. Watching her figure it all out is, according to her foster, one of the most joy-filled things to witness. At 12 lbs of quiet, gentle sweetness, Pearl is learning to trust, learning to play, and slowly coming out of her shell. Every small step forward is a gift. Environment Pearl has made great progress with potty training in her foster home and has thrived with a consistent routine. With regular walks she is fully house trained. Her crate is her sanctuary. She retreats there to nap, to hide her treats for private snacking later, and to feel safe, so having it accessible with the door open at all times is important. Pearl does not yet have a reliable threshold boundary and can be a flight risk, so a securely fenced yard is a must and doors should be managed carefully. She is quiet and calm indoors, making her perfectly suited to shared-wall living. Pearl is great in the car and travels comfortably in a crate. Pets & People Pearl is shy and gentle when meeting new people, but she is wonderfully sweet once she feels safe. She loves being held and sitting in a lap. She just prefers the person to initiate rather than being scooped up unexpectedly. She rewards patience with deep affection. She lived with other dogs in her home and does well with them.
