Claythan is waiting for you at Orange County Animal Services in Chapel Hill, NC 27516. Claythan came to our shelter as a stray, so his hostory is mostly a mystery. He is a very handsome guy waiting to find his new, loving home!Insights from my adventure buddies or foster friends:`We took Claythan for a Dog Day Out and he did very well! He was calm in the car and walked happily. He did not bark. He was interested in other people, and did not cause any issues. He warmed up quickly to two children.``This is a good boy!!! He has a very big, soft head. He has excellent tail wags and is remarkable chill. He got in the car really easily and was a perfect passenger. It was so hot out I mostly just had him hang out at the apartment. He settled well. He was curious about our cat on the other side of the baby gate but was very calm about it. There was construction in the apartment next door and he did not bark at all. When invited to the couch, he snuggled up and put his head on my lap and I melted. He’s a sweet boy.``We had Claythan for three nights. Claythan became comfortable in our house immediately. He constantly followed me (a woman) around the house, curious about what I/we were doing at all times, even giving kisses every time I came toward the floor while I was doing squats for my workout. He obeys commands like 'sit' and 'down' and takes treats very gently - yet does not beg. When he gets playful, he play-bites very gently - surprising for a dog of his age. He chose a penguin toy at the house and loves mouthing it, rather than destroying it. He seems fully house-trained, has a strong bladder (10 hours from night until morning), and is quite calm and independent, especially for being just over a year old. Claythan is a quiet dog - with the exception in two instances, a stranger came to the house and he barked (but did not jump). Once he smelled them and was assured it is okay, he quieted down. He sleeps uninterrupted through the night on a dog bed on the floor. So
