Time in shelter (as of April 16th): 784 days Meet Taz — and let’s be real… 784 days is way too long for any dog to be waiting. Taz came to us as a stray on 2/21/2024, and somehow, he’s still here. He’s about 3 years old, around 45 lbs, and full of personality. The kind of personality that makes you laugh one minute and shake your head the next — in the best way. He’s quirky, smart, and has so much potential just waiting for the right person to see it. He’s dog-friendly, but like a lot of dogs who have spent time in a shelter, he can get a little reactive out in public. He’d do best in a home without small kids, or with older, dog-savvy kids who understand his energy and boundaries. Taz is food motivated, knows sit, walks pretty well on a leash, and has a serious ball drive — he LOVES to work and play. He was even tested for detection work, but didn’t quite have the nerve strength for that path. Still, that drive and focus mean he could absolutely thrive in the right environment — maybe even as a sport or activity dog. And medically?
