Smith (A142811) is a 3-year-old AK Husky x GSD mix who weighed 35.8 pounds on intake! 07/21/26 This wonderful boy is Smith! Smith arrived at the shelter as a stray and is now looking for his new place to call home! Since arriving at the shelter he has been super sweet with the staff and has had glowing reviews! He keeps his kennel accident-free, indicating that he may be housebroken! He even seems to know a few basic commands. However, we do encourage his next owner to keep working him to help him be his best self! Smith arrived at the shelter underweight and seemed to be licking at his foot. He was seen by the shelter vet and received an antibiotic injection, and it was recommended that he stay on a sensitive skin diet long term to help with any potential skin issues. Smith is also underweight, and the vet felt his ideal weight should be 50 pounds. He has a healthy appetite and with an appropriate feeding should get him to where he needs to be! Since Smith was a stray, we do not know his experience with children or other animals. Please ensure you are making appropriate introductions to keep setting him up for success!
