In my last update I said we were working on squirrels. Today she was able to sit and watch the squirrel without reactivity. I taught her to sit when she sees other animals she reacts to because that’s what’s we’ve found works for us, and this way I can keep control of the situation and reward her for being a good girl. Don’t let the number of days in the rescue turn you off from wanting to meet this good girl. Send in an application to meet Percy and we will come to you and show you her progress. Or you can come to us and see Percy in her comfortable environment. 8/31/25 Temporary Care Feedback: Persephone, or as she is affectionately called, Percy is an amazing little dog. Perfect pocket sized, sweet, cuddler, ready to play games and run around but also very focused. I cannot believe she isnt adopted yet, her furever family just hasn't found her yet. While Percy is very happy in her current foster home, an area where she can safely run amuck would be incredibly beneficial for her. She happily perches on the back of the couch to watch out the window, tidily eats roma tomatoes, and loves belly rubs. Percy does get to zooming but her burst is fairly short lived.
