She is a 5 year old, beautiful brindle American Staffordshire Terrier with a whole lot of love to give and a personality that really shines once you get to know her. She came to us from another shelter where she was described as a sweet, easygoing companion who enjoyed outings, walked nicely on leash, and preferred calm, quiet time over high energy play. They saw her as a well behaved, gentle girl who could be a little shy at first, but would quickly melt with a soft voice and a little baby talk. Since spending time with us, we’ve gotten to see even more sides of Angelica, and she’s definitely come out of her shell. She greets the world with curiosity and enthusiasm, often starting off with a burst of energy before settling in happily by your side. Once she’s had a moment to take everything in, she’s content just being close to her person, soaking up attention and companionship. Angelica is very smart and already comes with some great skills. She knows her name, will come when called, and is house trained. She’s also very treat motivated and knows how to sit, which makes continued training a great opportunity for bonding. She walks on leash but is quite strong and can pull, especially when something catches her interest. Because of her strength and enthusiasm, Angelica will do best with an owner who is confident and physically able to handle her on walks. She’s not the right fit for someone looking for a low effort dog, but for the right person, she’s an incredibly rewarding companion. At her core, Angelica is a very sweet, loyal dog who wants connection and stability.
