WATCH MY VIDEO...Coco is the kind of dog who makes you wonder how she ever ended up in a shelter at all.This lovely 1 year old tan and white American Staffordshire Terrier was surrendered due to a divorce, and while her world may have changed, her sweet and steady nature has not. Coco has quickly shown everyone here just what a special girl she is. She’s incredibly well rounded and has lived successfully with adults, children, other dogs, and even cats. She’s especially gentle with kids, happily letting them sit with her and soaking up the attention. Coco is also housebroken and crate trained, making her an easy addition to a home. At the shelter, Coco has been nothing but friendly and social. She greets people with a calm, happy demeanor, accepts handling with ease, and doesn’t show fear around new faces or other dogs. For a young dog, her energy level is wonderfully balanced. She enjoys getting out to explore and sniff, but she’s just as content relaxing in the sun and taking it easy. Coco has a great foundation of training. She knows sit, stay, and come, walks beautifully on leash, and even does well off leash with good recall. She takes treats gently and enjoys them, which makes continuing her training a breeze. She’s been working on “watch me” and is eager to please. While toys don’t seem to interest her much, she’s much more focused on her people and her surroundings. Coco may be just a tiny bit timid when first meeting someone new, but it doesn’t take long at all for her loving personality to shine through. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, well mannered companion who is just as happy exploring the world as she is relaxing by your side, Coco is ready to be your perfect match.
