About Poppy (Cattle dog) in Holly Springs

Poppy is waiting for you at Pawfect Match Rescue in Holly Springs, NC 27540. Poppy, rescued from a shelter on her last day, was found with a logging chain around her neck, so her earliest days taught her to fear humans. Now around 8 months, she will do best in a home with at least one other dog of any size. She loves to learn from her pack, play and enjoy their company. She remains very timid in strange places (including the vet, where you may even have to carry her) and around new people. She is not aggressive at all but she has a serious bark that may intimidate small children not used to dogs. She loves walks and toys and the occasional collagen bone, and she aims to please her caregivers. Treat motivated, she knows "sit" but will benefit from additional training like any other puppy or young dog. She may need to relearn potty training in a new environment. She is sweet and lovable and just wants to be a good dog for her people.
