Gemma originally was rescued from euthanasia and brought into rescue from a CA shelter over a year ago and found a family. Unfortunately, due to her current owners no longer being able to care for her, she is finding herself coming back into rescue. Gemma is everything people love about the breed: intelligent, loyal, and deeply devoted to her people, but with a low to medium energy level than many expect from a Malinois. She enjoys being involved in daily life and thrives on companionship, making her a wonderful partner for someone looking for a close bond with their dog.Gemma is crate trained, knows her commands in German, and appreciates structure, consistency, and clear expectations. She is affectionate, well-mannered, and loves spending time with her people. She enjoys having a job to do, learning new things, and being an active part of the family.When it comes to other dogs, Gemma is selective and prefers a calm, structured environment. She would do best as an only dog or with a calm, highly obedient canine companion.
